With Frontline and Advantage my cats scratch all
But neither Frontline nor Advantage the one bought recently is 100 effective on the few fleas they are exposed to. With Advantix, my dog stops scratching within hours. With Frontline and Advantage, my cats scratch all month long not all the time, but for 50 want to see 100 effectiveness. However, it is not made for cats, so have to choose between Advantage and Frontline for my three kitties. My cats are indoor only so they are not exposed to many fleas just the ones my dog and it is wonderful.
If Advantix were available, Id definitely use that instead.
Never had flea problem ever since started using it. With Advantix, my dog stops scratching within hours. am not terribly impressed with either one. found this out, when stopped using it for couple of months on one of my cats, she started loosing her hair and what looked like hot spots. did not believe it until this happened. SInce the very start, it has worked excellent. However, it is not made for cats, so have to choose between Advantage and Frontline for my three kitties.
recommended highly, even if your pets dont seem to have flea problem, they be allergic to flea bite unbeknown to self. With Advantix, my dog stops scratching within hours. Never had flea problem ever since started using it. When took her to an animal dermtalogist, she described as being allergic to fleas and recommended that not stop using Advantage, even if my pets seemed clear of fleas. When immediately began back to use it, my cats skin problems went away! Thank God for Advantage! And my kitty is thankful too!

So recommend Advantage only with reservations because its better than nothing.
